Baby Jogger Summit X3
Summit in the Summer
By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea, you and I you and I, oh how happy we'll be!
But you know what will make you even happier? An awesome stroller to push by the sea! Or shore, or beach, depending on where you come from.
If you want the utmost in briny pleasure, you need one that can stand up to all the ocean can muster. Including one that stands it's ground when the waves come in.
Surf? Whose afraid of the big bad surf? I'm the new Baby Jogger Summit X3, and I eat the tide for breakfast!
Yes, it's true. Nothing to be afraid of with these fierce tires, and high seat.
What, me worry? Nothing in the basket was even wet!
The Summit X3 is Bay Jogger's third incarnation into the "hybrid" arena, and the best yet. It's a stroller for someone who wants to do a little light running, but doesn't want to buy a fixed wheel jogger.
So as a cross-over, it has 16" rear air tires,
and a handbrake.
The front wheel locks forward for jogging, which gives is a longer, more stable wheel base.
A really cool feature is that the swivel lock is located on the handle. So you can just flip it out for running, or flip it back for walking. No need to bend down or forward and mess with the wheel.
In fact, the entire wheel system, suspension and bearings, were modified on the Summit X3 to give it a smoother push.
And the wheels pop right off so you can rinse off the sand and salt. Or mud, or snow, or for a more compact fold.
Speaking of which, the Summit X3 has the amazing, fabulous one-hand fold that BJ is famous for.
As well as the huge canopy with peekaboo windows,
Net for ventilation,
and storage on the back.
The basket is easy to get into, too. And there's a wrist strap to keep the stroller from getting away from you. Very important safety feature, especially when running.
The harness is simple to adjust,
the seat is well padded, and the footwell is nice and deep.
It reclines nearly flat for a young baby (but for walking only. Jogging isn't recommended until your baby is at least 6 months old, and has good head control.)
And there's a 75 pound weight capacity, which means you will have many endless summer adventures ahead!
