When
you start asking people about convertible car seats, the Diono Radian
is one of the first names that comes up. Haven't heard of Diono? Well,
maybe that's because they used to be "Sunshine Kids".Since they were
more well known for their stroller and car seat accessories than
anything else, the company decided a re-branding was in order.
One
thing people really like about the Radians is how narrow their base is.
You can fit three across in the back seat of most cars, really!
There
are now four models of the Radian convertible seat--R100, R120, RXT,
and GTX. Each one is a step up in features, and price, of course. Jay
Herr walks us through.
That luscious purple also comes in the Monterey high back booster, and Santa Fe no back booster.
We really love our Radians! We have an RXT and an R100 in the back of our little HHR and it actually leaves us with access to a third seat!! And my kids love how low they are, letting them climb in and out on their own :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback Chani! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Radian XRT. It is a great car seat, the only one we could find to fit in my husband's extended cab truck while rear facing! We have used it since my son was 6 months but could have easily used it since birth (just enjoyed the in and out convenience of the pumpkin seat). This seat will likely last us until he is out of car seats! Definitely worth the price tag.
