A Booster seat with a lap belt? NO!

Did you know that you can not use a Booster seat with a lap belt only? You can, however, use some convertible seats, and harness to booster seats, with a lap belt.





This is handy to know, because some cars don't have shoulder belts in the center rear seat. Just remember that if you *are* using a combination seat with a lap belt, it has to stay in the harness mode, not booster mode.

It also "ties" in with the new NHTSA LATCH/seat belt rules. I will explain that more fully in the next couple of days.
