Hi Strollerland! Due to popular demand, I have been posting a series of StrollerQueen
Tips on FaceBook. In case you missed the there, I am also posting them here. But if you do like them, could you pop over there and hit the Like button? Thank you!
Today's SQ tip is on clean strollers....well I guess it's two separate
posts--one on keeping a stroller clean, and another on cleaning it if
you don't, lol! Now it's not that hard to clean a stroller, and if you
are using it every day, you are going to
have to. But you can lessen the time between washings if you take a few
preventative measures.
1.) Try not to feed your little one in the stroller, if possible. I know that some moms say feeding their babies snacks in the stroller is the only way they can get things done. And I totally get it. We all have to do what we have to. But just give it a little thought--like maybe dry cheerios instead of ice cream. 2.) Stroller liners are your friend! There weren't that many out when my DD was a baby, and that unnerved me. I really wanted to place something on the seat, that would come between her bottom and the stroller upholstery. I haunted Ebay, and wound up with a Peter Rabbit thingie with eyelet lace. Now most companies make stroller liners, so there are loads to choose from. They come in a variety of prices and fabrics. Some are thick, some are thin; there are solids and prints TDF. So look around a bit. Just remember how much easier it is to throw a liner in the wash, than dealing with the whole seat. 3.) If you do get spills or stains, clean them up ASAP. The best thing to do is grab a baby wipe, and clean it the best you can until you get home. Depending on the extent of the mess, you may not have to do anything else. Baby wipes work surprisingly well. I'll talk about how to clean the whole stroller, in case your are beyond all this, in our next SQ tips. Cheers!
